Security Intelligence

Developing actionable situational awareness from fragmented or raw information  in order to understand the dynamics of a threat---who may be trying to targeting you, when do they want to do this, what information are they seeking to take, and what do they really want to do with it---is the process of creating security intelligence.  This is a growing industry that was once just a function thought to be in the public sector, managed by government entities doing a public service or conducting law enforcement. Today, this is expanded to be a function in the private sector to proactively detect fraud, prevent loss, avoid reputation damage, and mitigate surprise criminal victimization from acts like insider sabotage or economic espionage.

While much of security is an art, creating tools that further security missions---from monitoring to investigation to creating countermeasures---is very much a science.  We believe that research, technology, and engineering can deliver the best “methodological tools”. The idea is to create an ontology and an automated structured execution process of that ontology that codifies tangibles means and methods that make getting results more consistent, reliable, and accurate with respect to all the artsy aspects of this thing we call security.  Because bad actors continue to evolve, security intelligence solutions must also evolve. We believe that knowledge creation and situational awareness is best developed through iterative, ongoing research and development---finding new use cases and unique scenarios to test if indicator models remain proactive ahead of threats materializing instead of falling behind and detecting targeting only when it starts happening.

To create true intelligence technologies, tools must continue to be scalable across a wide spectrum of domains, process a greater variety and volume of specialized data sets at the meta data-level, and be used regularly, not just occasionally.  IdentitySure is committed to advancing these developments in the security intelligence field as a leading company within the industry but also collaborate with other forms of solutions providers (cybersecurity, blockchain, third party risk, etc.) in order to ensure that best practices are integrated across these different forms of security which all benefit quality deduction, induction and adduction capabilities that transform old fashion information to true intelligence.
